The end of October will see the long awaited return of someone we all know and love, James Bond! Daniel Craig returns in one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year, Quantum of Solace. I am unsure as to whether I like the title but I am looking forward to the film so much! The story of James Bond continues as it left off in Casino Royale. This next installment of film is literally 10 minutes after the last film finished which I think is an amazing idea. As Bond was previously betrayed by his one and only love, Vesper he fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. As he pursues his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (played by Judi Dench) interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organisation responsible for blackmailing Vesper is far more complex than they had ever imagined. In a mission that takes Bond to Austria, Italy and South Africa this sounds as if it surely is one of the best bond installments to date.
I am particularly excited about the Director of the film, Marc Foster. He has directed some fine films in his time including, Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland and The Kite Runner. He has worked with some incredible actors and I am very excited to see what he will be able to bring to the table. His visions and imagination is incredible and I feel he will make this film a great success.
The last installment of the Bond series, Casino Royale was such a pleasant change from the previous couple of films, ‘Die Another Day’ and ‘World Is Not Enough’. Personally, I was not that fond of them so I was more than happy to see the change toward a more story based script. There are no funky, ridiculous gadgets. The story is the prime focus and I feel that’s how it should be.
