Darth Vader – Anakin Skywalker – Dark Lord of the Sith
The journey of the powerful Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, begins the tale as a simple yet talented slave boy. Anakin’s mother, Shmi Skywalker, knew that the boy was meant for great things. His miraculous conception without a father surely was the start of her realization that something was very different about this child. To this day the actual source of his conception is left for rumor and imagination as the story teller, George Lucas, has never revealed the story.
This boy’s journey into the mastery over the force would begin with Jedi knight Qui-Gon Jinn. Qui-Gon could see from a young age that young Anakin had incredible untapped skill of the force. What he would observe of the boy would lead him to believe that this was surely the prophesied one who would bring balance to the force. At his death Qui-Gon, who would not train Anakin, got the word of soon to be Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi that he would train him. And so it would be.
Anakin’s emotional attachments would eventually lead him to become Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith. It was his belief that the dark side presented him advantages that the good side of the force could not. In actuality it was his path down the dark side that lead him to lose those he loved.
Darth Vader would join the evil empire under the tutelage of the dark Emperor Palpatine. He would lead a great military campaign against the Jedi. Leading a genocide to destroy any future opposition. After successfully wiping out most of the Jedi and force sensitive population Darth Vader would subdue the entire galaxy and battle with rebel forces.
His undoing as Darth Vader would eventually come from the family attachments (Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa) he always desired to keep safe. His son, Luke Skywalker, would successfully lead him to turn on the Emperor and come to the realization that the good side of the force was the true path to take.
